College Credit for Your High School Coursework? Yes!

We are committed to providing you with a smooth transition to college.

The partnerships we have developed with many school systems help to make the transition seamless.

There are many benefits to receiving articulation credits including:

  • Savings on tuition, books and fees
  • Saving time without duplicating classwork
  • Opening time in your schedule for other learning experiences and studying

To receive credit for an MCC course, students must:

  • Meet all MCC admissions requirements and be a matriculated student in good standing
  • Submit to MCC Enrollment Services an official high school transcript documenting graduation
  • Graduate from a partnering high school or Chapter 74 approved Secondary Career/Vocational Technical High School
  • Earn a minimum cumulative grade in the articulated high school course or program

What Is An Articulation Agreement?

Articulation agreements are officially approved agreements that matches coursework between schools to recognize credits toward a degree, which allows graduating high school students the opportunity to enroll at MCC and be awarded credits for work completed at the high school level. Currently, we have independent articulation agreements with local high schools and statewide articulation agreements with Chapter 74 approved Secondary Career/Vocational Technical High Schools.

MCC will honor an agreement for two years after the student's date of graduation. Students may apply the articulated credit to any MCC certificate or associate degree program that can accommodate the credit.
