Early College Promise at MCC
Lowell High's Early Scholarship Program Pays for One Year of Tuition and Expenses at MCC!
Funded by the state of Massachusetts, Early College Promise is a pilot program providing Lowell High School (LHS) students a free year of college at MCC.
Eligible students who have successfully completed Early College classes at LHS gain academic and holistic support while earning transferable college credit toward an associate degree.
Participants will receive:
- A free year of college tuition
- Advising and additional support
- Funding for school materials and books
- A free laptop
The resources can be used toward your full-time college enrollment for the year while attending LHS. To participate or for more information, connect with your school’s guidance or career counselor.
Program participants are highly successful. On average, students maintain a 3.0 GPA and 30 earned credits yearly. At the close of the program, students often continue for their Associate of Science at MCC, or transfer to another institution for their Bachelor of Arts.
