We Help You Improve Your Academic Skills!
Looking to earn your high school equivalency or improve high school-level skills?
MCC's Adult Learning Center (ALC) offers FREE, noncredit adult basic education.
The ALC provides:
- Classes to improve reading, writing, math and digital skills
- Judgement-free spaces to learn and grow skills
- Preparation for high school equivalency testing, including the GED and HiSET
- Highly qualified and experienced instructors and advisors
- Help getting ready for college-level classes
We serve students at the intermediate English speaking and writing skill level. While we are not an ESOL program, students have found classes help improve their skills.

The Adult Learning Center and Links are funded by the Massachusetts Department of
Elementary & Secondary Education.
It was definitely a rough time period but continuing to pursue my GED at the time was the best decision of my life. Being someone who comes from a low-income family where very few people went to college, MCC has helped me have so many great experiences I never would have been able to have otherwise. I have never felt more supported and seen as not only a student but an individual more than I do at MCC.
