Transportation and Parking at MCC

Getting Around Campus Made Easy!

Whether you take public transportation to campus or you carpool, we have lots of options for traveling to and from campus.

Public Transportation

Use the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) route 62 bus from Boston’s Alewife Station to and from Bedford’s Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital. We can transport you to and from the Bedford Campus using MCC’s Shuttle Service.

MCC Bedford On-Campus Shuttle Service

This shuttle service is ONLY for the Bedford campus parking lots. This shuttle does NOT travel to/from the Lowell campus. At this time, this service is not in operation. 

MCC Inter-Campus Shuttle Service

The MCC Shuttle Service operates during the fall, spring and summer semesters on a fixed route with no stops between the Lowell and Bedford Campuses.

Shuttle service is not available on weekends, holidays or any dates when day classes do not meet. Refer to the current Academic Calendar for dates.

There is no smoking and open drink/food containers allowed on the shuttle. In addition, we do not transport bicycles. Inappropriate behavior may result in suspension of shuttle privileges.

Ride Sharing

MCC partners with the Massachusetts Ride Share Program, a website that links commuters so they can reduce their carbon footprints and save money. The program offers monthly incentives to all participants. Learn more by visiting the Massachusetts Ride Share website or by calling

Parking

On our Bedford Campus, we have designated lots with off-campus overflow parking. On Springs Road, there is a parking lot right by the VA Hospital with FREE MCC Shuttle Service available to and from campus.

In Lowell, we offer parking validation to select municipal parking garages.

For both campuses, we offer FREE short term visitor parking in designated spaces and temporary parking permits for longer term visitors.

Carpool Parking

Two or more MCC students who drive together can park in convenient carpool parking areas set aside on the Bedford and Lowell campuses.

Transportation Requests

MCC shuttle services operate 6 vans that shuttle students between campuses, parking lots and local public transportation stops. These vans are available locally to support enrichment activities on a very limited basis when they are not needed to support the shuttle services.
