At Middlesex Community College, flexibility makes the difference for students to reach their goals. With the eight-week, accelerated Spring 2025 Mini-mester II, Middlesex offers students a second chance to start this semester, beginning Monday, March 24.

“Our goal at MCC is to save students time and money as they pursue their education and get started or advance in their careers,” said Kayla Caron, MCC’s Registrar. “By offering a mid-semester start, Middlesex helps you get on your path to success faster, rather than having to wait for summer or fall. Within the eight weeks, you will be able to complete general education and program of study requirements, gain hands-on experience, and benefit from our award-winning student support services.”

With the eight-week Mini-mesters, MCC offer the same content, academic standards, and number of instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. This allows students to fit more classes into their schedule overall.

Mini-mester course options include a variety of subjects, such as the arts and humanities, business, social science, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Classes may be offered on-campus, online, hybrid or hyflex.

All students – including those enrolled in Mini-mester II classes – may qualify for financial aid. MCC encourages students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to find out their eligibility.

No matter a student’s age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow at Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend MCC for free.
