Middlesex Community College is encouraging students to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This spring, MCC’s Office of Financial Aid is hosting two FAFSA Completion Workshops to guide students through the financial aid process for the 2025-2026 academic year.
“Applying for financial aid is one of the best ways a student can set themselves up for success,” said Jaroslava Salvo, MCC’s Coordinator of Financial Aid. “We’re hosting the FAFSA Completion Events to provide personalized assistance. Our knowledgeable financial aid experts will help ensure your FAFSA is completed accurately, submitted on time, and that you secure the financial aid you need for your higher education journey.”
During the events, financial aid staff will be on hand to provide direct assistance to students as they complete their application. The college will offer information and support, as well as answer questions as students go through the process of filling out the form.
The first event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 in the Lowell Cowan Center Computer Labs, rooms 201 and 202. MCC’s Bedford event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 in the Academic Resource Center Computer Labs, room 107, 108 and 109.

No matter your age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The
MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have
not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend MCC for free. To qualify, students must
complete the FAFSA.
Financial aid awards are based on financial need, enrollment status in an eligible
program, and availability of funding. Additional forms of financial aid, including
student employment, federal work study programs or scholarship opportunities, may
be available for those who qualify.
