Orientation Plus at MCC
Start Off Your MCC Journey Strong!
From day one of your time at MCC, we help set you up for success!
1. Complete Your Online Orientation
Complete MCC's online orientation* at your own pace from wherever you are.
After finishing, you will:
- Know more about academic expectations
- Learn how to navigate the campuses
- Find out about getting involved within the community
- Feel confident about finding academic resources and student support
* Required for all new students enrolled in at least 6 credits and taking at least one day course.
2. Register for and Attend your First Year Experience Course
These two-day accelerated FYE courses are offered on-campus/in-person and online in a virtual classroom setting.
YOU will benefit from attending an FYE course by:
- Being introduced to essential student success skills
- Learning about MCC's academic success and student support resources
- Working with advisors to create a personalized academic and financial plan
- Meeting other students and learning how to get involved in co-curricular activities
Please register for and participate in an in-person Orientation Plus FYE session – you do not want to miss all of the fun your facilitator and Orientation Leaders have in store for you!
3. Join us for "One Week to Go" Events
You are invited to our One Week to Go events in the summer to introduce you to MCC, connect you with offices on-campus, and meet other students.
Make sure you’re ready for the start of the semester and get started on the right track!
With “One Week to Go:”
- Attend open office hours
- Join in fun activities
- Visit the bookstores
- Register for classes
- Fill out your Free Application for Federal for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Get your MCC school ID
- And more!
4. Attend our Student Engagement Events
MCC offers MANY ways to connect with friends, join clubs and organizations on campus, and learn about all the resources to help you succeed at MCC! Check out our calendar of events!
